New Event

19th July 2022. A new festival has been announced for Aberdeen called Wonderland featuring a programme of music, comedy, theatre, dance and family shows, it is scheduled for 8th - 11th September 2022. Also announced was the return of True North music festival with headline artists including Mica Paris and Nitin Sawhney, other artists confirmed include Django Django, Gentle Sinners Los Bitchos and African Groove Machine. True North is scheduled to take place on 22nd - 25rth September 2022. Tickets go on sale from 22nd July 2022

18th July 2022. The gaming company announced the news on their Twitter feed that they will be collaborating with Boardmasters festival at the event scheduled for 10th - 14th August 2022. The tweet said that there will be an exclusive brand area offering games and fun challenges along with snacks for sale. There will also be a big musical surprise to be announced soon! 15th July 2022. The new music festival planned to take place in a Southend Airport hangar have announced their line-up for the event scheduled to run on 2nd - 4th September 2022. Headliners include Africa Express, Fabio & Grooverider and the Outlook Orchestra and The Music Man Project. Tickets go on sale today for anyone interested.

14th July 2022. Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft (“DEAG”) in Germany has announced the acquisition of one of Europe's largest electro music festivals “Airbeat One”. DEAG wants to play an active role in the consolidation of the live entertainment industry in Europe and drive its growth through M&A. DEAG’s portfolio already includes the electric music festivals “Nature One,” “Mayday,” “Syndicate”, “Toxicator” and “Ruhr-in-Love” organised by their operating company I-Motion.

13th July 2022. Organisers of the festival scheduled for 23rd - 24th July 2022 have announced the postponement of this year's event until 2023. A statement on their website said the reasons were because ‘’a situation has arisen in which the stage supplier has ceased trading even though they were paid in full for our event. Whilst every effort has been made in finding another stage company to provide one, we have failed to secure one’’ The event was to feature Ash, The Charlatans and The Lottery Winners. There was no mention regarding ticketholder refunds.

12th July 2022. Organisers of the Scottish music festival at Glasgow Green have confirmed their planned dates for next year with the event being scheduled for 7th - 9th July 2023. The festival this year attracted over 50,000 festival-goers and 70 performance artists. Early bird tickets for 2023 will go on sale from Friday 15th July 2022 for anyone interested.

11th July 2022. Organisers of the event scheduled for 5th - 7th August 2022 have announced the postponement of this year's festival until May 2023. A statement on their Facebook page said the reasons for the cancellation were because ‘’we have been thwarted by local bureaucracy at this late stage.’’ The local council had refused the organiser's licence application because it was submitted too late apparently. The event was to feature Scooter, Vengaboys. Love Inc, Rozalla, Sash and tribute bands. Ticketholders can get a full refund or transfer to 2023.

8th July 2022. The festival scheduled for 10th September 2022 has been cancelled. An announcement from organisers Heavy Pop said ‘’working on condensed and accelerated delivery stretched us to our limits, this, combined with the current cost of living crisis, has brought us to realise that in order to protect the long-term sustainability of Heavy Pop as a company and our festival events we now need the summer period to reflect and reset, and get back to our more workable planning cycles for our 2023 events’’. Ticketholders can get a full refund or transfer to 2023.

New Event

7th July 2022. A new music festival is being planned to take place in a Southend Airport hangar and is scheduled for 2nd - 4th September 2022. The new event is being put together with help from the organisers of Glastonbury festival along with support from The Music Man Project, Southend Airport and the local chamber of trade. The headliners and key sponsors have already been secured but no details have been released yet or when tickets will on sale.

6th July 2022. Organisers of the popular metal festival have announced additional acts for their event scheduled on 11th - 14th August 2022. The new additions include Ingested, I Fight Bears, Nomadus, Collected, Silen, Tribe of Ghosts, Apollyen, Karma’s Puppet, Must Kill, The Kunts, Warlock AD, Lore of the Woodman and Acid Throne. 5th July 2022. The music festival scheduled for 20th August 2022 has been cancelled according to an announcement on their website. The statement said ‘’Due to a number of competing factors out of our control, it is with great regret that we have to cancel Live at Lydiard 2022. Plans are in place to return even bigger and better in 2023’’ The event was to feature Rag 'N' Bone Man, Example and Jax Jones. Ticketholders will be contacted by email regarding their refunds.

4th July 2022. Organisers of the music and entertainment festival have announced additional acts for their late-night show for the event scheduled later this month on 21st - 24th July 2022. The new additions include Shouse, Charlotte Church, 3D, Millie Cotton, Common People, Danny Howells and Darren Emerson plus many more. 1st July 2022. The popular EDM music festival that had its first event in Chelmsford this year have announced a return for next year scheduled for 26th - 28th May 2023. This year’s festival included headliners like Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz, Tiësto, Carl Cox and The Chemical Brothers. The Creamfields brand has a presence internationally including Chile, Abu Dhabi, Ibiza, Malta, Argentina, Peru, Hong Kong and China. 30th June 2022. The event scheduled for 5th - 7th August 2022 has been cancelled according to an announcement on their website. The statement said ‘’2022 is proving an incredibly challenging year for live music and events. The industry has seen an unprecedented rise in the costs of production alongside lower than expected ticket sales due to rising costs of living’’. Organisers SMS Event Production Ltd has ceased trading. The event was to feature The Vaccines, Hot Chip, Laura Mvula and Natalie Imbruglia. Ticket holders will be contacted in due course.

29th June 2022. The music festival that last took place in 2021 will return in June next year with a new name. No further details have been released but it’s anticipated that more than 80 artists will be booked to appear at the newly independent event. 22nd June 2022. Organisers of the 3-day multi-venue music festival have announced an additional 60 artists for the event scheduled on 29th - 31st July 2022. No further explanation was given about the specific circumstances quoted. The event was to feature Rag’N’Bone Man, Jax Jones, Blue DeTiger and Example. Ticketholders will be refunded automatically.
