What is Cancun Music Week April 2022.

Andy Robertson

This may be one of the most important events to take place in 2022 for anyone working in the underground electronic music sector. The new 5-day event is planned for 13th - 17th April 2022 in the popular resort town of Cancun, Mexico. What will this new event deliver for anyone working in the music festival industry and why should they consider attending?

This new industry event has been organised by XKYY Entertainment and combines a mixture of conferences, exhibitions, networking sessions and parties all in a superb setting at the Breathless Resort and Spa in Cancun. The event is aimed at music promoters, producers, agents, managers, record labels and DJs but has a wider appeal to anyone working in the live music sector including music festival organisers. The event hopes to address key topics including the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the industry as well as the running of more eco-friendly sustainable events and what the future trends related to crypto currencies, NFTs and blockchain initiatives could mean for the sector.

Conference and Networking.
The conference element of the event will include workshops, masterclasses and seminars with panel sessions and keynote speakers, the speaker list will be announced in January. There will be numerous networking events for professionals to meet like-minded people over the course of the week including 1-1 networking sessions. In addition to the conference and networking events the organisers have arranged for a Technology Trade Fair that will showcase the latest innovations taking place in the industry.

Parties.
Cancun Music Week will feature 50 parties including a grand opening and closing party plus smaller daily after parties, pool parties and a boat party for VIP visitors.

Tickets.
The cost of early bird tickets is inexpensive showing great value for money given the access visitors will get to quality content, the conference passes are just $149 (either in person or virtual) and includes access to masterclasses, networking sessions and the exhibitions. For access to the parties only the tickets are $199 but for full access to both the conference and all the parities the tickets are just $299. There are also a variety of single event tickets available from just $80.

Anyone working in the music festival sector with a focus on electronic music should find Cancun Music Week an invaluable experience with opportunities to discover the latest trends as well as building their industry contacts through networking. It’s also an opportunity to visit a location with a warmer summer climate during the winter months that most of Europe and North America will be experiencing in April.
