What Can Festival-Goers Expect From a Music Festival VIP Package.

Andy Robertson

The VIP packages available at music festivals can vary enormously with some being affordable and others seemingly out of this world. For any festival-goer who is tired of the muddy wet field experience and basic toilet facilities it may be time to consider upgrading that ticket to a VIP package.

Festival organisers often operate VIP experiences as separate profit centres and usually come as a package offered to key commercial sponsors and their corporate guests. For many festival organisations having a VIP package is essential to attract sponsorship and the revenue that is generates. Extending the VIP service to festival-goers is a logical extension of this service. There are a handful of festivals that refuse to offer any kind of VIP service out of principle because it's just not rock 'n' roll. Whilst most festivals offer a sliding scale of extra services like flushing toilets or upgraded camping areas for a small additional fee some festivals offer a complete luxury package that can cost the same as a new car. What can festival-goers expect to get in a typical VIP package in 2022?

Camping and Bathroom Facilities.
Most festivals offer dedicated VIP camping areas, often referred to as Glamping where ticket
buyers can expect various accommodation formats from luxury yurts to cabins and converted container units. Whatever format the accommodation takes ticket buyers can expect full sized beds and a complete set of linen and towels along with a constant electricity supply. The associated bathroom facilities will include flushing toilets and showers that will be spotlessly clean and not overcrowded.

Bars and Seating.
VIP bars and seating can be found close to the main stage with good views without the need to stand for hours in the crowd crush. Many of these bars are shared with corporate VIP visitors and performance artists that enables networking with if that's desirable. Drinks served in most VIP bars utilise a table service so ticket buyers can just sit, relax and order drinks as and when they want them. Seating areas in the VIP bars usually come with covered roof space so everyone can stay dry when the summer rain comes.

Food and Beverage Service.
High end dining table service and exclusive food and drink menus are often available in VIP packages along with great selections of wines and cocktails. It is entirely possible to experience a silver service restaurant set up too. A wide selection of food and beverages will be easily accessible without waiting or having to queue up at a mobile food vendor.

Aside for the usual dedicated VIP glamping area along with stage side bars and seating many VIP experiences offer additional services like massage, pamper salons and free car parking. Whatever VIP package festival-goers opt for it will be sure to provide a new experience away from the mosh pits and hustle and bustle of the crowds and queues. Most music festivals offer a variety of cost options to suit all budgets.

For festival organisers planning their events using a software management platform like Festival Pro gives them all the functionality they need manage every aspect of their event logistics including managing their VIP packages. The guys who are responsible for this software have been in the front line of event management for many years and the features are built from that experience and are performance artists themselves. The Festival Pro platform is easy to use and has comprehensive features with specific modules for managing artists, contractors, venues/stages, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, guestlists, ticketing, cashless payments and contactless ordering.
