16th June 2023. Organisers of the music festival that was to take place in Bristol have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 16th - 17th September 2023. A statement on their website reads “It is with heavy hearts and deep regret that we cannot go ahead with this year’s Tokyo World Festival. There are too many growing challenges with using Eastville Park this year that cannot be overcome. We’ve worked hard with the Council and Police but we have not been able to find workable solutions to the challenges of this location to keep the event safe and secure. All tickets will be refunded at face value.’’

15th June 2023. Organisers of the long running music festival taking place in Princess Park, Queenscliff, Victoria have announced their first phase line-up for the event scheduled on 23rd - 26th November 2023. Artists confirmed include Aloe Blacc, Foy Vance, G. Love & Special Sauce, Boy & Bear, Something For Kate, Ian Moss, Illy, Dan Sultan, Liz Stringer, The Dreggs, Ngulmiya, Alice Ivy, Xylouris White, Jem Cassar-Daley, Felipe Baldomir, Leah Senior, William Crighton, Full Flower Moon Band and The Badloves. New Event

14th June 2023. An Irish twist on the Bavairan Oktobrfest has been announced taking place in ten locations across Ireland during September and October this year. Artists announced include Whistlin’ Donkeys, George Murphy & The Rising Sons, Rake the Ashes plus many more. The new festival will highlight Irish trad bands and dancers, tankards of Irish stouts & beers, authentic Irish food, DJs and an eclectic mix of entertainment and competitions. 13th June 2023. Organisers of the iconic American music festival have announced dates for next year confirming the event will take place on the weekends of April 12th -14th and April 19th - 21st 2024. The festival will remain in its usual location of the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. No line-up has been announced but tickets will go on sale from June 16th 2023 with General Admission prices starting at about $500.

12th June 2023. Organisers of the popular EDM music festival taking place at Cook’s Valley Campground near Piercy on 14th - 16th July 2023 have announced their final line up additions. New artists confirmed include Netsky, NotLö, Mimosa, ION, Paper Idol, KR3TURE and Casmalia. They join previously announced artists Tokimonsta, Big Gigantic, Mura Masa, G Jones and Dr Fresch. 9th June 2023. Organisers of the iconic EDM music festival taking place on 21st - 23rd July and 28th - 30th July 2023 have released their timetable of performances. The 17th edition of Tomorrowland will revolve around the theme ‘Adscendo’ and artists confirmed include Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Claptone, Eric Prydz presents HOLO, John Newman, Lost Frequencies, Nina Kraviz, Purple Disco Machine, The Chainsmokers, Tiësto and Timmy Trumpet plus many more. 6th June 2023. Organisers of the music and arts festival that was to take place in Scone Palace near Perth have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 11th - 13th August 2023. In a statement on Twitter organisers said “We are sorry to have to deliver the devastating news that we can no longer go ahead with Otherlands Music & Arts Festival this year due to poor ticket sales, rising production costs and loss of grant funding.’’ Organisers said ticket buyers will be refunded within 14 days.

30th May 2023. Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) has launched its drug harm-reduction campaign aimed at music festival attendees across Ireland. The campaign includes a drug monitoring program where festival-goers can anonymously submit drugs to experts through voluntary “surrender bins,” real-time social media alerts and a media campaign. The HSE found trends of concern last year including high potency drugs, 12 new psychoactive substances and 4 drugs which had never been identified before in Ireland. 29th May 2023. Organisers of the music festival that was to take place near Bruton have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 3rd - 5th August 2023. In a statement on Facebook organisers said ''We are incredibly sad to announce the end of Farmfest. As a small, independent festival, it has been a tough few years to remain affordable whilst also keeping up with the huge rise in running costs’’. Organisers have teamed up with Valley Fest in Chew Magna to offer an alternative festival. People can either choose to upgrade their tickets for that event, donate the value of their ticket to Wateraid or request a full refund.

24th May 2023. Organisers of the dance music festival that was to take place in Abbey Park have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 24th June 2023. In a statement on Facebook organisers said “Today we have made the very difficult decision to cancel Beyond Festival 2023. Understanding the challenges our industry currently faces with the cost of living impacts and many other uncontrollable influences key metrics left us with no alternative than the above decision.” Anyone who has purchased tickets for the event will be given a refund.

23rd May 2023. Organisers have revealed the line-up for the Glade Area, the event takes place on 21st - 25th June 2023. Artists announced include Carl Cox, Example, Gok Wan, Syreeta, Faithless (DJ Set), Girls Don’t Sync, Bou, Sarah Story, Arielle Free, Karen Nyame KG, Steve Hillage Band and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. They will be joined by new group Mantra of the Cosmos featuring Happy Monday’s Shaun Ryder and Bez plus former Oasis bassist Andy Bell and Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey. 16th May 2023. Organisers of the music festival have announced the postponment of the event scheduled for 10th June 2023. In a statement organisers said “We’re completely gutted, but a number of factors mean that it now feels impossible for us to put on the festival to the expected standard. Everything that’s needed to put on a festival has gone up massively, and costs are continuing to spiral as we get closer to the event. We’re unable to pass these costs onto ticket buyers in the midst of a cost of living crisis.

In a statement on Facebook organisers said “Due to logistical issues beyond our control, we sadly have to cancel this event. In a statement on Facebook organisers said “It is with deep deep regret and huge sadness that we have to cancel Chagstock. The struggle to catch up after missing a year due to covid combined with increased competition, escalating costs, the cost of living crisis and lower than expected ticket sales, make it impossible to continue with the event.”
