16th May 2023. Organisers of the music festival have announced the postponment of the event scheduled for 10th June 2023. In a statement organisers said “We’re completely gutted, but a number of factors mean that it now feels impossible for us to put on the festival to the expected standard. Everything that’s needed to put on a festival has gone up massively, and costs are continuing to spiral as we get closer to the event. We’re unable to pass these costs onto ticket buyers in the midst of a cost of living crisis.

12th May 2023. Organisers of the retro music festival that was to take place in Bangor have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 5th August 2023. In a statement on Facebook organisers said “Due to logistical issues beyond our control, we sadly have to cancel this event. All customers will receive a full face value refund from the vendor where you purchased your tickets, details will be emailed to the address you registered when buying your tickets.”

10th May 2023. Organisers of the Chagstock festival in Whiddon Down near Dartmoor have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 21st - 22nd July 2023. In a statement on Facebook organisers said “It is with deep deep regret and huge sadness that we have to cancel Chagstock. The struggle to catch up after missing a year due to covid combined with increased competition, escalating costs, the cost of living crisis and lower than expected ticket sales, make it impossible to continue with the event.”

4th May 2023. Brooklyn Brewery, part of the Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company portfolio have announced that the new Brooklyn Pilsner will be the Official Beer of Glastonbury Festival this year. 20th April 2023. Organisers of the Dominion festival in Durham have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 5th - 7th May 2023. In a news statement they cited lack of ticket sales (at 5% of capacity) as the primary reason and with costs expected to exceed a quarter of a million pounds they can't go ahead with the festival without risking employees' job security. All ticket holders will receive an email within 24 hours confirming that they are being refunded automatically to their payment method, and all bands and suppliers have also been contacted to ensure no-one is out of pocket.
