COVID-19 Updates

26th July 2021. Organisers of the 4-day festival in Scotland have made the decision to cancel their festival that was scheduled for of 12th - 15th August 2021. Organisers stated that there were too many uncertainties as COVID related restrictions aren't due to be lifted until 9th August which is too tight. The festival is rescheduled for 14th - 17th July 2022. Headliners were to include Dizzee Rascal, Sleaford Mods, Camera Obscura, Teenage Fanclub and 10CC among many others. Tickets can be rolled over to next year.

New Event

25th July 2021. A new 4 - day festival has been announced scheduled for 2nd - 5th September 2021. The line-up will not be announced until the day before the festival opens encouraging visitors to attend with an open mind as they discover new music and new talent. The festival will feature a celebration of music, wellness and connection bringing women and non-binary artists to the front and supporting emerging talent. Limited tickets are available now.

Events

22nd July 2021. The free to attend festival will be held in Victoria Park, London on 31st August - 2nd September 2021. The Neighbourhood festival runs as part of the main All Points East festival where headliners announced include Bicep, Kano, Foals and Bombay Bicycle Club. For the main festival tickets are still available to buy.

21st July 2021. The 4-day festival in Suffolk will open to its full capacity of 40,000 on Thursday 22nd July 2021. Visitors will require proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test or proof of natural immunity. Headliners include Wolf Alice, The Chemical Brothers, Bombay Bicycle Club, Bastille, Rudimental, Supergrass, Kaiser Chiefs, Bill Bailey and Jo Brand. Limited tickets are still available.

COVID-19 Updates

20th July 2021. Organisers of the 4-day festival in Dorset have announced their COVID-19 entry requirements for the event on 29th July - 1st August 2021. As with most large festivals visitors will require proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test taken prior to travel on the day of arrival at the festival, or proof of natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of the festival. Limited day tickets are still available.

19th July 2021. Organisers of the 3-day festival on the Isle of Wight have made the decision to cancel their festival just 2 weeks after suggesting that the festival will go ahead on the proposed dates of 31st July - 1st August 2021. Organisers stated safety concerns as the main reason for the cancellation, headliners were to include 808 State, LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, Kosheen and Stanton Warriors.

Events

16th July 2021. Organisers of the 4-day festival in the Brecon Beacons have confirmed their event will proceed on 19th – 22nd August 2021. For festival-goers intending to attend Green Man they will have to demonstrate they have received a negative NHS lateral flow test within 48hrs prior to their arrival, or demonstrate that they have received 2 vaccinations at least 14 days prior to their arrival. Headliners confirmed include Mogwai, Caribou, Little Dragon and Fontaines DC. The festival is totally sold out.

COVID-19 Updates

15th July 2021 (Business Insider). Nearly a thousand people tested positive for the coronavirus after attending a two-day outdoor festival (Verknipt festival), in the Netherlands on the weekend of July 3. Figures from health officials in Utrecht indicated that 448 were exposed during the first day of the festival, and 516 the second day. The festival, which attracted about 20,000 visitors, was one of the first after the country relaxed its COVID-19 measures on June 26.

14th July 2021. Organisers of the 100,000 visitor 5- day festival in Lancashire have applied for the necessary licenses to run their 2022 event between 29th June and 10th July 2022. The dates are yet to be confirmed but headliners already announced include Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Duran Duran, Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. A variety of ticket options are still currently available for anyone interested.

12th July 2021. Organisers of the 2-day festival in Dartmoor have confirmed their event will proceed on 23rd - 24th July 2021. Precautions for visitors include taking a Lateral Flow test before coming and wearing masks when queueing or in high density areas. Staff will wear masks when serving visitors with contactless payments at bars and merchandise tents. Headliners confirmed include Seasick Steve and Scouting for Girls. 10th July 2021. Festival Republic, organisers of the 3-day festival in Reading have been given approval by their local council to go ahead as planned on their scheduled dates of 27th - 29th August 2021. There has been no official confirmation of any coronavirus restrictions that may be place. Headliners confirmed include Stromzy, AJ Tracey, Mabel, Post Malone, Slowthai, Liam Gallagher and Queens of the Stone Age. The festival has been sold out for some time.

New Event

7th July 2021. Wolverhampton council have organised a 17-day festival called Relight that is scheduled for 20th August - 5th September 2021. There will be 30 music, comedy and sports shows over the two weeks and headliners announced so far include Bill Bailey, Katrina and the Waves, Sonia, Soul II Soul, Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy, Doreen Tipton, Tom Stade, Shappi Khorsandi and Gary Delaney. 7th July 2021. Organisers of the legendary Old Skool and Anthems festival in Streatham Common have partnered with KFC in a sponsorship deal that is enabling them to go ahead with a 2 - day festival scheduled for 25th - 26th September 2021. Headliners announced include DJ Luck & MC Neat, Oxide & Neutrino, Judge Jules, Lisa Maffia, Kele Le Roc, Fatman Scoop, Another Level, Artful Dodger, Damage, DJ Majestic, DJ Q, Tinea Taylor, Scott Garcia, Wideboys and Anton Powers. 6th July 2021. Organisers of the 4-day festival in Hampshire have confirmed that the event will go ahead as planned on their scheduled dates of 5th - 8th August 2021. There will be no legal restrictions on capacity and they will be setting up plenty of sanitising and hand-washing stations. 5th July 2021. Organisers of the 3-day festival on the Isle of Wight have been granted a licence by local authorities to go ahead on their scheduled dates of 31st July - 1st August 2021. The event will have a reduced capacity and headliners confirmed include 808 State, LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, Kosheen and Stanton Warriors among the 60 artists booked. Weekend and camping tickets are still available for anyone interested.

2nd July 2021. Organisers of the 3 - day event in the north of England have added to their headline acts for the festival scheduled for 13th - 15th August 2021. New acts announced include Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club and DJ Marvin Humes who join Judge Jules, Danny Rampling K-Klass, Toploader, Lawson and The Hoosiers. In addition organisers have added a new weekend ticket for entry to all three days, priced at £85 for adults and £60 for 3-17 year olds.

1st July 2021. Organisers of the Northern Irish festival have confirmed the event will go ahead with 2,500 visitors on 9th - 10th July and another 5,000 visitors on 12th - 14th August 2021. In an announcement they said “We are buzzing to finally, finally be able to say we are 100% on for July, Social distancing will be required, masks outdoors are optional but recommended, while masks in any indoor spaces will remain mandatory.“ Headliners include And So I Watch You From Afar, Lyra, Kila, Ciaran Lavery and over 60 musicians and comedians.

COVID-19 Updates

30th June 2021. Organisers of the 4-day festival in Hertfordshire have confirmed the event will go ahead as scheduled on 22nd – 25th July 2021, just after the key UK's Step 4 reopening date of 19th July. Festival-goers will need a negative test on entry and the event will incorporate protocols highlighted in the government's ERP report. Headliners include Bastille, Hot Chip, Primal Scream and Craig David's TS5. Tickets are still available for anyone interested.

29th June 2021. Organisers of the Chicago based music festival, working with Form Presents, have announced a new London edition of their festival scheduled for 10th - 14th November 2021. The London edition will join the Chicago and Paris editions taking place this year and will feature 50 performances across 5 London venues. 28th June 2021. Peter Gabriel, organiser of WOMAD has announced the cancellation of the event saying "It is with great regret that we are cancelling WOMAD ’21 today. Without the simple support of a government insurance scheme or the guarantee of Test Event status, we cannot continue and put WOMAD’s long term future at risk. We feel that our audience, artists, staff, and contractors, who have been amazingly supportive throughout all this, will understand the need for us to act to guarantee our survival.”

25th June 2021. Mitigation measures can be used to reduce and manage risks associated with large events, report finds. The programme involved a total of 58,000 participants at venues across the country including Liverpool, Sheffield and London. The report confirms that 28 cases of Covid-19 were recorded from all available data during the ERP’s first nine events. Of these 28 cases, the report has found 11 cases were identified as potentially infectious at an event, and a further 17 were identified as potentially infected at or around the time of an event.

23rd June 2021. Organisers have confirmed that the 3-day music festival will proceed as scheduled for 10th – 12th September 2021. This follows Scotland declaring that events can resume from the beginning of August. The festival headliners were already confirmed as Courteeners, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers, Ian Brown, Primal Scream and Snow Patrol. Organisers stated that limited numbers of tickets are still available.

22nd June 2021. Organisers of the popular retro music festival have announced the cancellation of their Essex event saying "Due to logistical issues brought about by the delay to the lifting of restrictions, we have had to make the difficult decision to re-schedule Let’s Rock Essex to Saturday 10th September 2022." The other Let's Rock festival locations may have been subject to date changes too so ticket holders should contact the organisers for more details.

21st June 2021. Organisers of the popular free music festival held annually on south beach Blyth have announced the cancellation of their summer event. Orgainsers said "At the very earliest, restrictions will be lifted on 19th July and, as this year's festival has already been pushed back to 24th July, there just isn’t enough time to make final arrangements to ensure a safe event for everyone. The legal and safety procedures alone for an event this size would take a considerable amount of time to complete."

20th June 2021. Organisers of the 4-day festival have announced cancellation. In an announcement orgainsers said "There is a delay in the release of the research from the Event Research Programme (ERP) which would publish crucial new safety guidance on how we run events. Without this safety guidance, there are numerous aspects of the festival we cannot plan, and which could lay us wide open to last minute unforeseen regulations or requirements we may be required to adhere to, any of which could scupper an already built festival.”

17th June 2021. Organisers of the 4-day food and music festival in Bristol have confirmed that they will forge ahead with their event despite an extension of the UK’s Covid-restrictions. In an announcement orgainsers said "we’re continuing with plans to hold Valley Fest ’21 (29th July – 1st August). We feel confident that the four-week delay and expanded vaccination programme will see restrictions fully lifted on July 19th’’. The festival will feature headliners Deacon Blue, Texas, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Toploader and many more.

16th June 2021. The Dub Pistols event has reemerged with a new location at Vicarage Farm near Winchester and confirmed dates scheduled for 10th – 11th September 2021. The event will run at 60% capacity and will be fully COVID-19 compliant. Headliners announced so far include Dub Pistols, Gentlemans Dub Club, Bez’s Acid House Party, Tom Findlay (Groove Armada), Leeroy Thornhill (The Prodigy) and Don Letts plus many more. In an announcement orgainsers said "The delay by the Government on the easing of restrictions means we’re unable to bring you Black Deer Festival 2021.
