21st December 2021. Organisers of the Larmer Tree music festival have announced that their 2022 event will now not go ahead. The announcement states that the disruption caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic means holding the event in 2022 is too risky. This will be the third year that the festival has been cancelled, it last took place in 2019. 

20th December 2021. Organisers of the dance music festival in Croatia have announced the first wave of headliners for the event scheduled for 8th - 10th July 2022. Headliners announced are Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Joseph Capriati, Martin Garrix, Nina Kraviz, Oliver Heldens, Richie Hawtin, Tiësto, Timmy Trumpet and Vini Vici. Tickets are on sale now for anyone interested but they are selling out fast.

17th December 2021. A new boutique dance music festival has been announced for Newcastle scheduled for 2nd - 4th June 2022. The new festival has already announced Danny Howells, Henry Saiz, Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo in their line-up. Registrations are now open for anyone interested in tickets which are planned to go on sale from today.

16th December 2021. Organisers of the popular retro music festival in Derbyshire have announced the first wave of headliners for the event scheduled for 30th June - 3rd July 2022. Headliners announced are Steps, UB40, Cascada, Aqua, East 17, S Club, Fatman Scoop, Vengaboys, T'Pau, Scouting for Girls, Toploader and Ace of Base. Tickets are on sale now for anyone interested in music from the 80s and 90s.

15th December 2021. Organisers of the Birmingham folk festival have announced the first wave of headliners for the event scheduled for 2nd - 4th September 2022. Headliners announced are Supergrass, Seasick Steve, Kurt Vile and The Violators, The Weather Station, Bess Atwell, Anaïs Mitchell and John Francis Flynn. Tickets are on sale now for anyone interested. 

14th December 2021. The popular folk festival returns next year after a two-year break and is scheduled for 28th - 31st July 2022. Organisers have announced their first wave of headliners including Passenger, Seasick Steve, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Clannad, Suzanne Vega, Spell Songs and This Is The Kit plus many more. 13th December 2021. Organisers of Portsmouth's music festival have announced headliners for their event scheduled for 26th - 28th August 2022. The first wave of headliners announced are Stereophonics, James, Sugababes, Nothing But Thieves, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Wombats, Declan McKenna, Self Esteem, We Are Scientists, Becky Hill, Little Man Tate, Baby Queen, Coach Party, WorryWorry and Sam Ryder. Early bird tickets are on sale now for anyone interested. 

10th December 2021. Organisers of the Love Supreme Jazz Festival in Sussex have announced headliners for their event scheduled for 1st - 3rd July 2022. The first wave of headliners announced are TLC, Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas and Sister Sledge plus 30 other artists including Charles Lloyd, Bill Frisell, Mulatu Astatke, Gary Bartz, Emma-Jean Thackray, Julian Lage, Sarathy Korwar and Nala Sinephro. 9th December 2021. Organisers of the Reading and Leeds Festival have announced headliners for their event scheduled for 26th - 28th August 2022. The first phase of headliners announced are Arctic Monkeys, Dave, Rage Against The Machine, Halsey, Bring Me The Horizon and Megan Thee Stallion. Also announced were Little Simz, Polo G, Glass Animals, Wolf Alice, Fontaines D.C., Run The Jewels, Maneskin and Bastille. More artists will be announced in due course and tickets are on sale now for anyone interested. 

8th December 2021. Organisers of the long running Croatian music festival have announced a new UK edition of their event called ‘Outlook UK’ scheduled for 30th June - 3rd July 2022. The new music festival will take place in Cheshire and the line-up is yet to be announced. Anyone interested can register now for news on headliners and ticket sales.

7th December 2021. The Southbank Centre in London will be running its 20th children's festival scheduled for 9th - 20th February 2022. Imagine Children’s Festival is dedicated to families experiencing and enjoying all kinds of art and culture together. There are 160 events in 12 days with over half of the festival being completely free. The annual event features children's theatre, comedy, music, literature, dance and full-on fun for children and their grown-ups. 

6th December 2021. A new one-day dance music festival in Kent has been announced by founders Lucy Beckwith and Reece Miller and is scheduled for 28th May 2022. The impressive line-up already confirmed includes Basement Jaxx, Roger Sanchez, Marco Carola, Rossi, East End Dubs and George Mensah. Tickets go on sale on 8th December for anyone interested.

3rd December 2021. Organisers of NASS Festival near Bristol have announced their line-up of 80 artists for their event scheduled for 7th - 10th July 2022. Headliners announced were The Streets, Headie One and Mabel, other acts in the line-up include Becky Hill, Wilkinson, Ocean Wisdom, Ella Eyre, Ray BLK, Raye, Jaykae, Ms Banks and Bru-C. 2nd December 2021. Organisers of the Slam Dunk festival in Leeds and Hatfield have announced their headline acts for the event scheduled for 3rd - 4th June 2022. The Alternative rock festival have announced Sum 41 and Dropkick Murphys as their latest headliners who join already announced Alexisonfire, however Rancid will no longer play. Also announced this week are The Interrupters, KennyHoopla, Pennywise, Pinkshift and Deaf Havana. Tickets are available now for anyone interested.

The EDM festival have announced Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox, Slam, SPFDJ, 999999999, Roisin Murphy, Overmono, Job Jobse, Shoot Your Shot and Taahliah. 30th November 2021. Organisers of the Truck music festival have announced 50 artists for their line-up next year. The Oxfordshire festival scheduled for 22nd - 24th July 2022 has announced Kasabian, Bombay Bicycle Club, Sam Fender, The Kooks, Blossoms, Sigrid, Easy Life, Kelis, Inhaler, Jade Bird, Sundara Karma, Black Honey, The Big Moon, The Subways, Sports Team and Shame plus many more. Limited tickets are on sale now for anyone interested. 

29th November 2021. Organisers of the Lancashire festival have added Simply Red, Elbow, Tears for Fears, The Strokes and Fontaines DC to their 6th - 10th July line-up. The festival scheduled in two parts for has already secured Diana Ross, Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and Lionel Richie for part one scheduled for 28th June - 2nd July 2022. Organisers of the Glasgow festival have added Sam Fender, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Self Esteem, Griff, The Lathums, Tom Grennan, Ella Henderson, Nina Nesbitt, Brooke Combe, Example and Maximo Park to their line-up. The festival scheduled for 8th - 10th July 2022 has already secured beabadoobee, Foals, Fontaines D.C., Jimmy Eat World, Sigrid, The Snuts and Wolf Alice. 25th November 2021. Organisers of the Country and Americana music festival in Leicestershire have announced their first wave of headline acts. The festival, scheduled for 26th - 28th August 2022, has announced The Cadillac Three, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Brandy Clark, LOCASH, Lauren Alaina, Lindsay Ell, Sara Evans, Gretchen Peters, Sunny Sweeny, Cassadee Pope, Sarah Darling and Lilly Hiatt plus many more. Tickets are on sale from 26th November for anyone interested. 

24th November 2021. Promoters DF Concerts and Events have announced a new music festival for Scotland scheduled for 26th - 28th August 2022. The Connect festival was last run in 2008 so it’s more of a relaunch, no further details have been released yet. The promoter is also behind the popular TRNSMT and Summer Sessions festivals in Scotland. 

23rd November 2021. Organisers of the London double weekender music festival have announced their first wave of headline acts. The festival scheduled for 19th - 20th and 25th - 28th August 2022 has announced Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Tame Impala, Gorillaz, Disclosure, The National, Chemical Brothers, Kraftwerk, IDLES, Caroline Polachek, Fleet Foxes, James Blake and Michael Kiwanuka plus many more. Tickets are on sale from 25th November for anyone interested.

22nd November 2021. Organisers of the new Wide Skies and Butterflies festival have added Bimini Bon Boulash to their line-up. The Norfolk festival scheduled for 5th - 7th August 2022 has already secured Natalie Imbruglia, The Levellers and Toploader with more artists to be announced soon. Tickets are on sale now for anyone interested.

19th November 2021. Organisers of the retro music festival Let’s Rock have added Ipswich to their existing list of 14 locations in the UK and Ireland. The new Let’s Rock location will be at Trinity Park in Ipswich and is scheduled for 10th September 2022. No details of the line-up or ticketing arrangements have been released yet.

18th November 2021. The UK Blues Federation have finally gained approval from Colne Town Council to proceed with the music festival in the summer of next year. Conditions for approval included giving back 10% of ticket sales revenue to Colne Town Council and the provision of a fringe programme as part of the festival. The festival regularly attracts up to 25,000 visitors each year and anyone interested can register for ticket information to be released at a later date.

17th November 2021. One of the largest EDM music festivals in the world has just announced its phase 2 line-up for 25th – 27th March 2022. New artists announced include Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Jauz b2b NGHTMRE, Joseph Capriati, Sasha / John Digweed, Seven Lions and Tiësto. They join previously announced headliners David Guetta, Carl Cox, Alesso, Nina Kraviz and Timmy Trumpet. Tickets are on sale now for anyone interested.

16th November 2021. One of Europe's largest EDM music festivals will take place next year on 4th - 7th August 2022. The popular 'rave' festival is held in Romania in Cluj-Napoca at the Cluj Arena and attracts up to 265,000 festival-goers each year. The line-up is yet to be announced but the festival is expected to feature about 200 EDM performance artists. Registration for tickets is open now. 

15th November 2021. Organisers of the North Yorkshire music festival have made their first line-up announcement for their event scheduled for 28th - 31st July 2022. Artists announced include Nadine Shah, John Grant, Django Django, Dry Cleaning, Billy Nomates, Afla Mist, Snapped Ankles, Yard Act, Pip Blom, Sinkane, Denise Chaila, The Lovely Eggs, Katy J Pearson, Du Blonde, Porij, CMAT, Balimaya Project, Bleach Lab, The Bug Club, Night Flight, Natalie McCool, Lime Garden, Beija Flo, Big Jeff. 12th November 2021. Organisers of the Sheffield music festival have announced their first wave of acts for their event scheduled for 22nd - 24th July 2022. Artists announced include The Wombats, Sigrid, The Vaccines, James, Becky Hill, Jade Bird, Sam Ryder, Sports Team, Inhaler, Orla Gartland, The Coral and Shed Seven. Final phase tickets go on sale 12th November for anyone interested.   

10th November 2021. Organisers of the Glastonbury Festival have announced that Diana Ross will perform in the legendary Sunday teatime slot on the Pyramid Stage. The upcoming Glastonbury performance, as part of her ‘Thank You’ UK Tour, marks Ms. Ross’ first live appearances in the UK since 2008. Tickets for the 2022 Festival are sold out, with deposits paid for the 2020 Festival having rolled over for a second year, following the cancellation of the 2021 Festival. 

10th November 2021. Organisers of the new music festival in Wales have announced more headliners for their event scheduled for 3rd – 5th June 2022. New additions include Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Two Door Cinema Club, Clean Bandit, The Editors, Armand van Helden, The Vaccines, Eats Everything b2b Skream, Soul II Soul, Hybrid Minds, Tinie Tempah and Roger Sanchez.
