COVID-19 Updates

21st December 2021. Organisers of the Larmer Tree music festival have announced that their 2022 event will now not go ahead. The announcement states that the disruption caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic means holding the event in 2022 is too risky. This will be the third year that the festival has been cancelled, it last took place in 2019.

20th December 2021. Organisers of the dance music festival in Croatia have announced the first wave of headliners for the event scheduled for 8th - 10th July 2022. Headliners announced are Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Joseph Capriati, Martin Garrix, Nina Kraviz, Oliver Heldens, Richie Hawtin, Tiësto, Timmy Trumpet and Vini Vici. Tickets are on sale now for anyone interested but they are selling out fast.

17th December 2021. A new boutique dance music festival has been announced for Newcastle scheduled for 2nd - 4th June 2022. The new festival has already announced Danny Howells, Henry Saiz, Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo in their line-up. 16th December 2021. Organisers of the popular retro music festival in Derbyshire have announced the first wave of headliners for the event scheduled for 30th June - 3rd July 2022. Headliners announced are Steps, UB40, Cascada, Aqua, East 17, S Club, Fatman Scoop, Vengaboys, T'Pau, Scouting for Girls, Toploader and Ace of Base. 10th December 2021. Organisers of the Love Supreme Jazz Festival in Sussex have announced headliners for their event scheduled for 1st - 3rd July 2022. The first wave of headliners announced are TLC, Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas and Sister Sledge plus 30 other artists including Charles Lloyd, Bill Frisell, Mulatu Astatke, Gary Bartz, Emma-Jean Thackray, Julian Lage, Sarathy Korwar and Nala Sinephro. 9th December 2021. Organisers of the Reading and Leeds Festival have announced headliners for their event scheduled for 26th - 28th August 2022. The first phase of headliners announced are Arctic Monkeys, Dave, Rage Against The Machine, Halsey, Bring Me The Horizon and Megan Thee Stallion. Also announced were Little Simz, Polo G, Glass Animals, Wolf Alice, Fontaines D.C., Run The Jewels, Maneskin and Bastille. 8th December 2021. Organisers of the long running Croatian music festival have announced a new UK edition of their event called ‘Outlook UK’ scheduled for 30th June - 3rd July 2022. 7th December 2021. The Southbank Centre in London will be running its 20th children's festival scheduled for 9th - 20th February 2022. Imagine Children’s Festival is dedicated to families experiencing and enjoying all kinds of art and culture together. There are 160 events in 12 days with over half of the festival being completely free. The annual event features children's theatre, comedy, music, literature, dance and full-on fun for children and their grown-ups.

6th December 2021. A new one-day dance music festival in Kent has been announced by founders Lucy Beckwith and Reece Miller and is scheduled for 28th May 2022. The impressive line-up already confirmed includes Basement Jaxx, Roger Sanchez, Marco Carola, Rossi, East End Dubs and George Mensah. Tickets go on sale on 8th December for anyone interested.

The Alternative rock festival have announced Sum 41 and Dropkick Murphys as their latest headliners who join already announced Alexisonfire, however Rancid will no longer play. 24th November 2021. Promoters DF Concerts and Events have announced a new music festival for Scotland scheduled for 26th - 28th August 2022. The Connect festival was last run in 2008 so it’s more of a relaunch, no further details have been released yet. The promoter is also behind the popular TRNSMT and Summer Sessions festivals in Scotland.

New Event

19th November 2021. Organisers of the retro music festival Let’s Rock have added Ipswich to their existing list of 14 locations in the UK and Ireland. The new Let’s Rock location will be at Trinity Park in Ipswich and is scheduled for 10th September 2022. No details of the line-up or ticketing arrangements have been released yet.

18th November 2021. The UK Blues Federation have finally gained approval from Colne Town Council to proceed with the music festival in the summer of next year. Conditions for approval included giving back 10% of ticket sales revenue to Colne Town Council and the provision of a fringe programme as part of the festival. The festival regularly attracts up to 25,000 visitors each year and anyone interested can register for ticket information to be released at a later date.

16th November 2021. One of Europe's largest EDM music festivals will take place next year on 4th - 7th August 2022. The popular 'rave' festival is held in Romania in Cluj-Napoca at the Cluj Arena and attracts up to 265,000 festival-goers each year. The line-up is yet to be announced but the festival is expected to feature about 200 EDM performance artists. Registration for tickets is open now.

10th November 2021. Organisers of the Glastonbury Festival have announced that Diana Ross will perform in the legendary Sunday teatime slot on the Pyramid Stage. The upcoming Glastonbury performance, as part of her ‘Thank You’ UK Tour, marks Ms. Ross’ first live appearances in the UK since 2008. Tickets for the 2022 Festival are sold out, with deposits paid for the 2020 Festival having rolled over for a second year, following the cancellation of the 2021 Festival.
