The most popular accommodation option for festival-goers attending a multi-day event is camping which is inexpensive and relatively convenient. For those seeking more comfort combined with mobility an RV (Recreational Vehicle) or campervan can be the perfect solution. What are the pros and cons of using a campervan for festival accommodation and transport.

Only a small number of festival-goers are likely to own an RV or campervan and festival organisers often arrange for a fleet of campervans to be placed on a site and make them available for rental. Arranging for suitable dedicated campervan space on a festival site can be challenging but where available those who drive a campervan to the festival are probably using the perfect festival accessory.

RVs and campervans can be very expensive to purchase making them an option for very few festival-goers. Organisers also offer a campervan experience, but they will usually form part of a VIP package and can be cost prohibitive without the convenience of transport to and from a site. Other Considerations. 
For the environmentally conscious using an RV or campervan may increase their carbon footprint as they often use more water and electricity whilst on site and waste management can be challenging. The larger RV or campervan usually uses diesel fuel with higher emissions combined with poor mileage efficiency but investing in a solar power solution can help to reduce the overall carbon footprint.
